KILLER-BONG x TIGHTBOOTH FW19 Collab Collection
Japanese skater Shinpei Ueno founded skate team TIGHTBOOTH in 2005 — since then, the group has evolved into a clothing brand, without sacrificing its shredding roots. For Fall/Winter 2019, TIGHTBOOTH has rejoined Japanese rapper KILLER-BONG, a member of influential hip-hop crew THINK TANK and founder of Black Smoker Records, delivering a dozen distinctive seasonal garments.
Encompassing a host of technical layers and ’90s-inspired essentials, the collection includes coats, oversized hoodies, baggy graphic tees, bi-color corduroy easy pants and much more. Standout items include the cargo-pocketed mountain parkas, branded with The North Face-inspired “TBKB” logos. KILLER-BONG’s artwork graces the rear of tees and sweaters, adding aggressive scrawls and hits of color to the neutral-toned staple pieces. Wide, long-sleeved baseball shirts, adjustable overalls and a shiny logo ring touch on the range’s diverse influences, elevating timeless references with contemporary construction and styling.
Expect the collaborative KILLER-BONG items to hit TIGHTBOOTH’s web store in November, with certain items already available for pre-order. Check out last year’s “TKBK” joint effort below, showcasing more special clothing and the entire TIGHTBOOTH skate team.
